Prophecies:

What the Apostle Peter wrote about prophecies:

2 Pet. 1:19-21-

So we have seen and proved that what the Prophets said came true. You will do well to pay close attention to everything they have written, for like lights shining into the dark corners, their words help us to understand many things that otherwise would be dark and difficult….. for no prophecy recorded in Scripture was ever thought up by the prophet himself. It was the Holy Spirit within these godly men who gave them the true messages from God.

Luke 21:36-

Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.

Signs of the end times!

Wars, violence and lawlessness……….

Matt. 24:6-7- And you will hear of these wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubles; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

Matt. 24:21-22- For there will be great tribulation such as has not been since the beginning of the world until the time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved (alive); but for the elect’s sake (God’s repentant, obedient people) those days will be shortened.

Luke 21:31-33- So you, likewise, when you see these things happening, know that the Kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things are fulfilled. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my Words will by no means pass away.

Dan. 12:10- Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked shall continue to act wickedly. None of those who are wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.

Matt. 2:12- And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. (Social breakdown).

America can no longer rightly claim it is a Christian nation since our leisure time entertainment- television, movies and the internet rivals ancient Rome’s lust for sex, drugs, alcohol, violence and brutality.

The U.S and Canada have remarkably high percentages of their population who say they believe in God and go to church regularly. This hypocritical national behavior was foreseen as a characteristic of the human society existing just before the Messiah’s return.

The Apostle Paul wrote:

2Tim. 3:1-4- But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, head strong, haughtier, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.

Paul commands us:

2 Tim. 3:5- From such people turn away!!

Drought and famine (lack of rain and lack of food):

Matt. 24:7- Jesus predicts/warns us of famines; “and there will be famines.”

Rev. 6:5-6- When he had broken the third seal (shortly before Christ returns), I heard the Living Being say, “come!” and I saw a black horse, with its rider holding a pair of balances in his hand. And a voice from among the four Living Beings (angels) said, “A loaf of bread for $20, or three pounds of barley flour, but there is no olive oil or wine.”

God is merciful and patient with us when we have a change of heart, Solomon knew this when he prayed:

1 Kings 8:35-36- …..”when they (the people) pray toward this place and confess Your Name, and then turn from their sins because You afflict them, then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your servants, Your people Israel, that You may teach them the good way in which they should walk; and give rain on Your land which You have given to Your people as an inheritance.”

Earthquakes and other natural catastrophes:

Mark 13:8 and Matt. 24:7_ …..earthquakes in various places.

Jesus directly predicted/warned us of earthquakes in various places in Matt. 24:7.

Is. 29:6- (God speaking) says of Jerusalem: “you will be punished by the Lord of hosts with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with storm and tempest and the flame of devouring fire.”

Disease Epidemics:

Rev. 6:8-And I looked and behold and ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death, and Hades was following with him. And authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence (disease), and by the wild beast of the earth.

Deut.28:1- (Moses speaking) Now shall it come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His Commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.”

If we turn back to God this is what he will do for us. This is what He did for the ancient kingdom of Israel at the time of King David. King David turned to God with all his heart and God began to bless and prosper Israel immensely. But what happens if we don’t turn back to God? Look what happened to Israel because they were disobedient:

2 Sam. 24:1- So the Lord sent a plague upon Israel from morning till the appointed time. From Dan to Beersheba seventy thousand men of the people died. And when the angel stretched out his hand over Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord relented from the destruction and said to the angel who was destroying the people, “it is enough, now restrain your hand.” (v. 15-16)

Deut. 28:15,22,27-28-But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully, all His Commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you…..v. 22-The Lord will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with fiery heat, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish…..v.27-28- The Lord will strike you with boils of Egypt, with tumors, with the scab, and with the itch from which you cannot be healed. The Lord will strike you with madness, and blindness and confusion of heart.”

Yes, God will do all these things to this world unless we turn back to God in profound, heartfelt repentance in a way that few people have ever done! God is trying to get your attention now!

The rise of an aggressive, fundamentalist Islamic Power:

In the end time there will arise in North Africa or the Middle East, a charismatic personality who will be able to unify, harness and lead a powerful block of nation in which Egypt will have a key role in.

Dan. 11:40,42-43- At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him (the power to the North of the king of the South); and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through……..He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels.

He will feel bold enough to provoke or attack the European Union. This will anger the fierce king of the North and the forces of the south will be completely crushed by the European power. The king of the North will then come down like a whirlwind and take over the Middle East, including the Holy Land (v. 41-42), the king of the north will seize control of the regions oil reserves!

Dan 11:31- And they shall defile the Sanctuary fortress then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the Abomination of Desolation.

There will be, at the end of this age, either a temple or special altar in Jerusalem. The priest of the family-line of Aaron will again offer daily sacrifices, until a great military power comes in and places in there what is called the Abomination of Desolation.

Dan. 12:1- Now at that time, Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was nation, even to that time.

This is talking about the American and British/Commonwealth and Jewish peoples. The great Muslim king of the south will cause a war, and the European king of the north will conquer the Middle East. This king of the north also comes west against God’s people at the beginning of the great tribulation. Matt. 24:21 is talking about this same time!

The Ascendant European Union seeks Global primacy:

Rev. 13:7- And it was given to him to make war with the Saints and to overcome them; and authority over every tribe, tongue and nation.

Revelation 13 describes the “revival” of a great military power. The beast rising up out of the sea having 7 heads and 10 horns, depicts a recurring, evil political system which has greatly influenced the western civilization and through them, the whole world. The seven heads represent 7 distinct revivals of this evil empire over a long period of time:

Justinian Imperial Restoration
Charlemagne, the Holy Roman Empire
Otto 1, the great emperor. (Julius Caesar)
Charles V ( Alexander the great)
Napoleon, revival of Charlemagne and Alexander.
Germany, second Reich.
The final revival, not yet come.

The ten horns are the ten leaders of the constituent nations that will make up this ungodly federation.

Rev. 017:12-14- And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they  receive authority for one hour (s short time) as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome, for He is Lord of lords, King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen and faithful.

This final empire with its “league of nations” will literally fight Jesus Christ as His second coming!!

A major characteristic of this European federation union is its enormous attractive economic prosperity and wealth. Material goods will abound for those who cooperate and submit to this Babylon the Great.

Rev. 18:3- For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed act of immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality.

Humanity is going to be seduced by one of the oldest of false gods: the golden calf of materialism and pleasure!!

A partial list of items being traded in this future Babylon:

Rev. 18:12-13- Cargoes of gold and silver and precious stones and pearls, and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet, and every kind of citron wood (a dark, hard and fragrant wood), and every article of ivory and every article made of very costly wood and bronze, iron and marble, and cinnamon, spice and incense, perfume and frankincense, wine and olive oil and fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep and chariots (cars?), and slaves and human lives….

Dan. 10:36- Then the king will do as he pleases, and the will exalt and magnify himself above every god, and will speak monstrous things against the God of gods; and he will prosper until the indignation is finished,…..(this IS speaking of the dictator to come!)

Dan. 11:37- And he will show no regard for the gods of his fathers or for the desire of women, nor will he show any regard for any other god; for he will magnify himself above them all.

(he will for a time cooperate with a false religious system, but he is not attracted to its religious teachings. “The desire of women”, the church is referred to in the Bible as ‘she’, ‘woman’, and in this case ‘women’. He only wishes to use this religious entity for what he needs at the moment)

Dan 11:38-39- But instead he will honor a god of fortresses, a god whom his father did not know; he will honor him with gold, silver, costly stones and treasures. And he will take action against the strongest of fortresses with the help of a foreign god he will give great honor to those that acknowledge him, and he will cause them to rule over the many, and will parcel out land for a price.

(This powerful individual will dedicate tremendous amounts of international resources to building up his military!)

A powerful religious figure leads a religious revival:

The false prophet, the great false religious leader will possess great charisma, and will exercise a very powerful influence over a political power, the beast I just spoke about. This false prophet will be the long prophesied, influential head, the great militant church in Europe. He will sit astride the beast. (a revival of a government system similar to the old Holy Roman Empire, a combination of church and state.) This false prophet is described in Isaiah 47.

Is. 47:1-“Come down and sit in the dust, O’ Virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground without a throne, O’ daughter of the Chaldeans. For you shall no more be called tender and delicate.”

Is. 47:5- “Sit silently and go into the darkness, O’ daughter of the Chaldeans; for you shall no more be called ‘lady of kingdoms’.

(definitely a religious government here)

Is. 47:6- “I was angry with My people……..”

(who are God’s people? The Spiritual people-God’s church or the Physical people, Israel…..)

Amos 3:2- You (Israel) only have I known of all the families of the earth.

Isaiah 47:6 is definitely speaking nationally, not God’s true church. It is peaking about the end-time nations comprised of modern Israel.

Continue in Is. 47:7- And gave them into your hand. You did not show mercy to them, on the aged you made your yoke very heavy. (the aged-ancient people-Israel)

Continue in Is. 47:7-And you said, ‘I shall be a queen forever’. So that you did not take these things to heart, nor remember the latter end of them.

This false religious system will put a yoke on God’s birthright people, and will not think ‘she’ is doing any wrong!

Is. 47:8- “Therefore, hear this now, you who are given to pleasures, who dwell securely, who say in your heart; ‘I am and there is no one else besides me’; I shall not sit as a widow, nor shall I know the loss of children. But, these two things shall come to you in a moment, in one day: the loss of children and widowhood”

Now for the explanation turn back to:

Rev. 18:3-For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.

(A great religio-political trading system!!)

What is this trading system?

Rev. 18:2- “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a habitation of demons, a prison for every foul spirit.”

This modern Babylon, forming in Europe, will be a very sophisticated, wealthy system that will dominate most of Europe and heavily influenced by Satan!

Rev. 18:4- God warns His people to come out of this system, lest they to will suffer her plagues (His wrath).

Notice:

Rev. 18:7- In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she (modern Babylon) says in her heart, ‘I sit as a queen and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.’

Notice that these words are from Isaiah 47:8?!!! This is end time prophecy!

Rev. 18:8- states her plagues will come in one day, just as God said in Is. 47:9.

The Apostle Paul wrote, in a letter concerning the Second Coming of Christ:

2 Thess. 2:1-3-“Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you may not be quickly shaken for your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the Apostasy comes first”…..(Apostasy: the falling away)

A great false religious leader will rise up before Christ returns, his attitude will be as 2 Thess. 2:4 states: Opposes and exalts himself above every so called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

This man will have supernatural powers, to ability to perform miracles so as to deceive! Rev. 13:13-14 states he will cause fire to come from the sky!

Read your Bible, know it! Stay alert so no one deceives you, Matt. 24:4.

The Gospel of the Kingdom of God preached to all nations.

Jesus’ pivotal “Olivet Prophecy” is vital to understanding future events!

Matt. 24:3- And He (Jesus) was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and the end of the age?”

Matt. 24:4-8- Jesus warns about false prophets, wars and rumors of wars, leading to world war, famines, disease epidemics and earthquakes. And in V.8-“All these things are the beginning of sorrows.”

Matt. 24:9-“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and they will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My names sake”.

This tells us that God’s true church and works will be known by all nations.

Matt. 24:14-And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations…..”

Every nation on earth will hear about this as a ‘witness’ NOT to convert them, but as a testimony of God’s future intentions.

This is NOT a time when God is trying to convert everyone, as many preachers who are trying to “save” the world now, would have you believe! Through his sins man has cut himself off from God (Is.59:1-2) Jesus said in

John 6:44- “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day”

Faith again becomes a matter of life or death:

Watch for persecution of Christians!

Matt. 24:9-…..”then they will deliver you up to…..kill you.” He is speaking to His people, His genuine disciple. The Apostle John gave the Church (and anyone reading the Bible) a test to find out who is a true Christian and who is only masquerading as one:

1John 2:3-4-“Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His Commandments. He who says, ‘I know Him’, and does not keep His Commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him.”

It is these Commandment keeping Christians who will be persecuted. Jesus foresaw there would be religious confusion in the end,

Matt. 24:11-“then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.”

John 15:18-19-“if the world hates you, you know it has hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

The present society will become and is becoming increasingly hostile to God’s people and the moral standards they live by. God’s church will be politically incorrect. And you? When Scripture reveals to you some Truth that may be inconvenient, embarrassing or personally or financially costly, what will you do? Some people will spit hatred at the mere though that someone else seeks to impose His values on them! (His values-God’s values!) They become all defensive and filled with hate speech and don’t want to hear the Truth or learn the error of their ways! I have endured this many times in my own personal journey with the Lord, have you? Or maybe you’re reading things for the first time and realizing you have been guilty of this in your life?

A crisis strikes Jerusalem:

Luke 21:20- “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.”

The modern nation of Israel, populated by the biblical tribe of Judah and significant remnants of the tribes of Levi and Benjamin, will suffer serious military losses with part of its territory occupied by its enemies, just before the Second Coming.

Israel’s 1948 great gathering was only a precursor of the gigantic re-gathering of the remnants of all twelve tribes of Israel that is yet to occur! The Jewish people will be attacked and defeated once again.

Zech. 14:1-2- “Behold, the day of the Lord is coming, and your spoil will be divided in your midst. For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; the city shall be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half the city shall go into captivity, but the remnant of the people, shall not be cut off from the city.”

Joel 3:1-3-“For behold, in those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land. They have cast lots for My people, heave given a boy in exchange for a harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they may drink.”

Jerusalem has only been partially surrounded, but in the end time it will be completely surrounded by its enemies!

Luke 21:21-22-Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains. Let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance.”

(Judea=Modern Israel)

The Abomination of Desolation:

Matt. 24;15-20-“Therefore, when you see the Abomination of Desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the Prophet, standing in the holy place, then let those who are in Judea (Modern Israel) flee to the mountains; let him who is on the housetop not go down to get the things out that are in his house; and let him who is in the field not turn back to get his cloak. But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babes in those days! But pray that your flight may not be on a Sabbath.

This is telling those in Judea (Israel) and the world to get out ASAP when they see this anti-Christ set up his throne in their land. He will set up here and require all to worship him, those who do not will be killed ! So God is warning us to run and hide in the mountains.

Dan. 12:11-And from the time that the regular Sacrifice is abolished, and the Abomination of Desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. (3-1/2 years). There once again will be animal sacrifices in Jerusalem, so it’s safe to say either an altar or even a temple will be built in Jerusalem, watch your world news! Keep steadfast in prayer and time with the Lord, know what is going on around you.

Dan 12:12- “How blessed is her who keeps waiting and attains to the 1,335 days!”

75 days after the Anti-Christ sets up his throne in Jerusalem there will be 75 days before Jesus will return to begin His 1,000 year, Millennial Reign-King of kings, Lord of lords!

The collapse of the English-speaking nations; the great Tribulation:

Jer. 30:7- “Alas! For the at day is great, there is none like it’ and it is the time of Jacob’s distress”

Matt. 24:21-22- Lets us know Luke 21:23 is aimed at the world, not just Israel the country. ALL of us are being warned to flee in Matt. 24:15-20.

Jer. 30:4-7-“Now these are the words which the Lord spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah, ‘For thus says the Lord, I have heard a sound of terror, of dread, and there is no peace, ask now, and see, if a male can give birth. Why do I see very male with his hands on his loins as a woman in childbirth? And why have all the faces turned pale? Alas! For that day is great, there is none like it’ and it is the time of Jacob’s distress.” (The Great Tribulation)

But, God lets us know He won’t allow us to go far enough to kill all human life.

Jer.30:11-“For I am with you, declares the Lord, to save you; I will destroy completely all the nations where I have scattered you, only I will not destroy you completely. But I will chasten you justly, and will by no means leave you unpunished.”

These times of great Tribulation will be aimed at America and British commonwealth peoples, why, do you ask? Because they are recipients of God’s tremendous birthright promises as the descendants of the Patriarch Joseph.

Gen. 49:22-26- “Joseph is a fruitful bough, a fruitful bough by a spring; Its branches run over a wall. The archers bitterly attacked him and shot at him and harassed him; but his bough remained firm, and his arms were agile, from the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob (from there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel), from the God of your father who helps you, and by the Almighty who blessed you with blessings of heaven above, Blessings of the deep that lie beneath, blessings of the breast and of the womb. The blessings of your father have surpassed the blessings of my ancestors up to the utmost bound of the every lasting hills; may they be on the head of Joseph, and the crown of the head of the one distinguished among his brothers.”

This tells us from Joseph came many, that they spread out, that no matter who attacked them thy stood firm and were not taken down. The Shepherd, the Stone of Israel mentioned here is Jesus. It goes on to tell of the great blessing on these descendants, who or what other nation has ever been as strong or as blessed as the Americas or the British? But we have turned away from God and continue to praise the Lord hypocritically!

Mark 7:6-7-“Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: This people honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far away from Me. But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines, the precepts of man.”

The vital Scripture for knowing end time prophecy is found in Leviticus 26.

When you understand our national identity this prophetic chapter will take on a whole new meaning!

(Basic information for modern Israel-among who are to be counted the American people, and the British descendant people of the British Commonwealth nations. Those people are among the descendants of the so-called ‘Lost ten tribes’ of Israel. This prophecy is talking about Israel and their children and grandchildren at the end of this age.)

Lev 26:14-17-But if you do not obey Me and do not carry out all these Commandments, if instead you reject My Statutes, and if your soul abhors My ordinances so as to not carry out all My Commandments and so break My Covenant, I, in turn will do this to you: I will appoint over you a sudden terror, consumption and fever that shall waste away the eyes and cause the soul to pine away; also you shall sow your seed uselessly, for your enemies shall eat it up. And I will set My face against you so that you shall be struck down before your enemies; and those who hate you shall rule over you, and you shall flee when no one is pursuing you.”

He is going to punish us if we do not obey His Commandments!

Lev. 26:18-19-If also after these things , you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven more times for you sins. And will also break down your pride of power; I will also make your sky like iron and your earth like bronze.”

God promised if we would obey Him, He would set us high above all nations:

Deut. 28:1-“Now it shall be, if you will diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to do ALL His Commandments which I commanded you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.”

However, if we do not obey God and keep His Commandments:

Deut. 28:17-“Cursed shall be your baskets and your kneading bowls.”

The growing effects of our national sins include: Escalating crime, violence, adultery, sexual perverseness, lying, cheating, stealing and so so much more that is disgusting to a holy and just God. Such selfishness and decadence of our “modern lifestyle”, which is based on egotistical pride and vanity is eating away at our structural frame. In spite of all the blessings God has bestowed upon us we have turned against God we have plummeted in our moral standards and have become nation of perverts, liars, thieves and murderers!

Deut. 28:49-50-“The Lord will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as the eagle swoops down, a nation whose language you shall not understand, a nation of fierce continence who shall have no respect for the old, or show favor to the young.” (Captivity)

God will humble us and correct us, but He also promises to deliver us from our troubles, when we learn our lesson and turn away from all our abominations!

Dan. 12:1-2- “Now at the time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.”

He is talking about the resurrection of the Saints and the incorrigibles.

Jer. 30:10-11-“And fear not, O’ Jacob My servant, declares the Lord, and do not be dismayed O’ Israel; for behold I will save you from afar, and your offspring from the land of their captivity. And Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, for I am with you, declares the lord, to save you; for I will destroy completely all the nations where I have scattered you, only I will not destroy you completely. But I will chasten you justly, and I will by no means leave you unpunished.”

But there is the good news, the light at the end of the darkness-Jesus will return and set up His Kingdom here on earth!

Dan. 2:44-“And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.”

Heavenly signs and the Day of the Lord:

After the Great Tribulation there are to be dramatic astronomical signs in the heavens, visible to all on earth!

Matt. 24:29-“But immediately after the Tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken,.”

Notice:

Rev. 6:12-13-And I looked and when he broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood; and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind.”

Joel 2:31- The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and awesome Day of the Lord comes.

The Seven last trumpets:

What happens after the first six seals of Revelation are opened?

Rev. 6:17-“for the great day of their wrath has come; and who is able to stand?”

Revelation 7 goes on to describe the protection of the 144,000 and the great multitude, Revelation 8 is the opening of the 8th seal, God’s direct punishment on a rebellious world. This seal consist of the seven trumpet plagues in Revelations 8 and 9. Finally in Rev. 11:15 the seventh trumpet-the famous Last Trumpet!

Rev. 8:1-2- And when He broke the seventh seal, there was a silence in heaven for half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God; and seven trumpets were given to them……

Rev. 8:7-And the first sounded, and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth; and a third of the earth was burned up, and all the green grass was burned up. (earth scorched)

Rev. 8:8- And the second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood; and a third of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and a third of the ships were destroyed. (Volcano ?)

Rev. 8:10-11-And the third angel sounded, and a great star fell from heaven burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of waters and the name of the star is wormwood; and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter. (large meteor ?)

Rev. 8:12-13- And the fourth angel sounded, and a third of the sun and third of the moon and a third of the stars were smitten, so that a third of them might be darkened and the day may not shine for a third of it, and the night in the same way. And I looked and I saw an eagle flying in the mid heavens saying with a loud voice, “woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the remaining blast of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound off.”

Rev. 9:1-12- And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to earth; and the key of the bottomless pit was given to him. And he opened the bottomless pit; and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. And out of the pit came forth locust upon the earth; and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And they were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment for five months; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man. And in those days man will seek death and will not find it; and they will long to die and death flees from them. And the appearance of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle; and on their heads as it were, crowns like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men, and they had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, of many horses rushing to battle. And they have tails like scorpions, and stings, and in the tails is the power to hurt men for five months.  They have a king over them, the angel of the abyss; his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he has the name Apollyon, (translated: Destruction). The first woe is past; behold two woes are still coming after these.

(Note: my Bible footnotes say these locusts seem to refer to demonic beings since they come from the abyss and their leader is none other than satan)

Rev. 9:13-21- And the sixth angel sounded, And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, one saying to the sixth angel, who had the trumpet, “release the four angels who are bound so that they might kill a third of mankind.” And the number of the armies of the horsemen was 200 million; I heard the number of them. And this is how I saw the vision, the horses and those who sat upon them: The riders had breastplates the color of fire and hyacinth and of brimstone; and the heads of the horses are like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke and brimstone. A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues, by the fire, by the smoke and by the brimstone, which proceeded out of their mouths. For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents and have heads; and with them they do harm. And the rest of making who were not killed with these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders, nor their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts.
